Hello BEAUTIFUL people!!
I thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce ourselves, and how The Communication Shop came to be.
My name is Toya. I'm half Italian, blonde, love dogs and a previous Brand and Category Manager, predominantly in the Fashion space.
I've spent the last 11 years cultivating experiences with brands across South Africa, most of them BIG international brands....like; HUGO BOSS, Juicy Couture, Lacoste, Converse, AVON Justine - to name a few, let me not get grandiose and boring.
But here's the catch and where the dream was born - corporate is not a space for the entrepreneurs. There was always that light in the corner of my eye that I felt compelled to follow. In these big-business spaces, I was always itching to bring this knowledge to 'the little guys' - because you know what? Apple was once a little guy. So was AVON. So were SO MANY of the GIANT success stories that we are constantly consuming today. Look at Kim Kardashian West; once upon a time she was working a hustle to become big, and now she's gracing us with GAME CHANGING brands, such as SKIMS.
I was always getting into trouble (Hi HR Managers :)!) for thinking BIGGER. Whatever the mandate, I wanted to strategise 10-fold, and make it MEAN SOMETHING. This was annoying to a Human Resource department, but cherished by the entrepreneur in the coffee shop - I was also always working late nights and early mornings on 'projects' for entrepreneurs. I wish I could list here all of the businesses and entrepreneurs I've met and collaborated with along the way - but alas, we're big into living in the NOW at The Communication Shop.
Born from this, we started seeing real, tangible results (sales conversions!!) for my clients - so we took the leap and now we work alongside some unbelievable CHAMPIONS; building their brands and nurturing their businesses through marketing and communication initiatives.
We hope to see you join us - I know your business matters. I know, if it exists, it SHOULD be seen.
